Wolfpack Property Care + Monitoring
Snow-covered Muskoka cottage at dusk with a temperature sensor in the window

Muskoka cottage monitoring
& freeze protection.

Most cottage disasters start small: a furnace quits, the power drops, a pipe weeps. Our monitoring plans put wireless temperature, water and power sensors in the cottage, alert our team the moment something is off, and send a crew to check, so a small problem never becomes a spring surprise.

What you get

What Our 24/7 Cottage Monitoring Service Includes

Sensors watch for freezing, leaks and power loss around the clock. We respond when something trips.

01

Sensors where problems start

We place sensors at the furnace or heat source, under sinks, by the water heater and pressure tank, and in the coldest room. If the temperature drops, water appears or the power cuts out, we know within minutes.

02

A real person responds

Alerts go to our on-call team, not just an app on your phone. We call you, confirm what is happening, and dispatch a crew to the property when it needs eyes on site.

03

Winter walk-throughs

Between alerts, we visit on a set schedule to check roofs, doors, windows, snow load, signs of pests and anything the sensors cannot see. You get photos every time.

04

Fix it the same week

Because we are also a repair crew, the broken window, failed heat tape or damaged eavestrough we find can be quoted and fixed right away.

Jan

Peak freeze risk. Alerts on any temperature drop below 5°C.

How it works

Start to finish, step by step.

01

Property walk

We walk the cottage with you (or on video) and plan where sensors go.

What our sensors monitor

Every risk an empty cottage faces, covered.

Commercial-grade Canadian monitoring hardware, the kind trusted by airports and utilities, set up room by room for your property. Tap a sensor to see what it does.

Temperature & freeze

Where it goes
Main living area, crawlspace, pump house, bunkie
What it monitors
Air temperature to ±0.2°C, from -40°C to 60°C, all winter.
When it alerts
Indoor temperature drops toward 5°C or the heat stops climbing after a cycle.
Why it matters
A failed furnace in January can freeze and burst lines within hours. We catch the drop before the pipes do.
How it works

From a reading to a crew at your door.

  1. 01
    Sensors report in

Each sensor checks its zone on a schedule and watches its limits around the clock, so an out-of-range reading sends right away.

  2. 02
    No Wi-Fi needed

The hub connects over cellular, with Wi-Fi and satellite backup on larger properties. If one drops, it switches on its own.

  3. 03
    Keeps running in outages

Built-in battery backup (3 to 5 days) keeps it reporting through storm outages.

  4. 04
    We get the alert first

Alerts reach our team by text, email and phone. You get notified too, on your own settings.

  5. 05
    A crew rolls

We call, confirm, and send someone to fix it. You get a photo report when it's handled.

Works on islands

Long-range sensors reach a boathouse or bunkie up to 10 km from the hub on our larger setups.

No internet bill

Connectivity is built in. Nothing to set up on your router, nothing to break when you close up.

Multi-year batteries

Wireless sensors run for years. We check and swap batteries on scheduled visits.

FAQ

24/7 Cottage Monitoring FAQs

What happens when an alert goes off?+

Our team gets the alert, calls you to confirm, and sends someone to the property when it needs a visit. You get photos and notes on what we found and fixed.

Does the cottage need internet?+

Not necessarily. We can use cellular hubs at cottages without internet. We confirm coverage on the property walk.

Can you monitor year-round, not just winter?+

Yes. Plans run monthly, seasonally or year-round. Many owners keep monitoring on through summer weekdays too.

Do you do new builds or renovations?+

No. We focus only on care, maintenance and repairs for existing homes and cottages. That focus is what lets us respond fast and keep visits on schedule.

Are you insured?+

Yes. We carry commercial general liability insurance and WSIB coverage, and can send certificates on request.

Do I need to be at the property?+

No. Most of our clients are away when we visit. Every visit ends with photos and notes so you see exactly what was done.
